Cold Shot, Recipes

Pigs 'n FigsThis sandwich was inspired by Italian heritage and American artisan cheese. It quickly became one of American Meltdown’s biggest sellers. You can’t go wrong with a pairing of black mission figs, speck, local goat cheese & a drizzle of reduced balsamic vinegar on La Farm Bakery’s sourdough bread.

2 slices Sourdough bread
1 hearty helping of Local goat cheese
3 Black mission figs, sliced
Balsamic vinegar reduction
2-3 slices Speck*
1 tbls Neutral oil (grape seed or canola)
2 tbls Butter

Melt butter and add oil. Reserve in a small bowl. Use a brush to spread the butter/oil mixture over the bread slices.

Spread the goat cheese on one slice of sourdough. Add figs and speck. Drizzle the balsamic reduction lightly over the figs, speck and cheese.

Toast until perfect.

*thinly sliced speck can be found at most specialty grocery stores.
